Meeting Program - Suzanne Flory will be our guest speaker. She will give us a presentation on fires in the National Forest; past, present, and future. Jim Dyreby will host Suzanne.

Meeting Program - Catherine Parker from the Rhinelander District Library and the "Senior Outreach" and Senior Services provided by the Library.

Meeting Program - Lawrence Eslinger, the new AIS Coordinator for Oneida County, will be our guest speaker. He will discuss the duties and programs for that office. Maureen O'Melia will host Lawrence.

Meeting Program - Matt Persike will be our guest speaker. He will present his year exchange in Chile.

Gala
The 2010 Rotary Gala was a big success! Kathy Shaltis reports our net amount will be around $13,000 (2009 was $10,700). Thank you to all Rotarians who donated money, auction items, participated in the "table baskets," contacted businesses for donations, worked on the Gala yourself or volunteered a family member to work or bid on the auction items-whether you had the winning bid or not! Kathy says she's received positive feedback. If you have any comments or suggestions for a future Gala, please talk to Kathy or a Rotary Board member. Your input is important for future events.
Gala pictures will be online soon.
District 6220 Conference
Our Rotary District Conference for 2010 is right around the corner, literally. The conference is coming up May 14 - 16, at Eagle Waters Resort in Eagle River. It's a beautiful location, and there will be interesting and informative sessions on how to make our club better. And it's only 30 miles away!
Interact Club
The Rhinelander Interact Club would like to thank the following Rotarians for sponsoring a juice and doughnut day this April: Jim Dyreby, Kathy Shaltis and Diane Sowinski. If you would like to sponsor an upcoming Interact meeting please contact Rotarian Chris Lenard.
Rotary Youth Exchange
Our new inbound student for the 2010-2011 RYE year is Enrique "O" Kike from Leon, Mexico. Kike is very excited to be coming to Rhinelander! His first host family will be the Wegehaupts.
Our current RYE outbound students will be returning in June. Luke Lenard will be home June 4th and Luke Wegehaupt will return June 25th.
