Notes from the Webmaster

Hello Fellow Rotarians,

This is my first newsletter, so it is a little short.  I also am not including any pictures in this.  I do try to update our website frequently so if you haven't visited lately, please check it out.  You will find lots of pictures there.   Feel free to give me your comments, ideas, corrections, and updates.  As I upload pictures and post club activities I can see just how involved in this community our club really is and I'm proud to be a part of the Rhinelander Rotary Club.

Heather

Club News

-Ferdi is here!  Ferdi Woehr is from Germany and will be spending the next year with us.  He is currently living with the Chris Lenard family.  Please take a moment to introduce yourself and say hi to Ferdi at our meetings.  If your family has a fun activity planned, consider inviting Ferdi.  There are several pictures of Ferdi and Chris' family on our website.

-We are still looking for someone to chair the Popcorn Sale at the Oneida County Courthouse Centennial Celebration on Saturday, September 20.  Bill Kingsbury has done a lot of the ground work already, so please consider volunteering for this club activity.  If you can't chair the event, please sign up for a volunteer shift.  If you'd like more information just talk to Bill or any of our club officers.

-Our club is donating $15,000 to the Red Marquardt Sawmill Project.  The District Project Fund Committee has approved our request for $5,000 to preserve and display the sawmill.  Mick Fiocchi, Bill Kingsbury, Mel Davidson, and Chris Lenard are four people I know have volunteered their time already and I'm sure there are more.  You can see some pictures of the work on our website.
